IZU cycling

This course is a course where you can enjoy the natural scenery of Izu and Mt. Fuji.

There is a wonderful view ahead of the big mountain ride along the beautiful coastline.

There are several routes, but this time i will show you a short route.

Shuzenji

It starts at Shuzenji Station.

Shuzenji is the oldest hot spring resort in Izu with a history of over 1,200 years. It is called "Izu no Ko-Kyoto" because of its elegant townspace along the Katsyra River, where bamboo groves and vermilion bridges are built, and it is a healing hot spring resort where you can enjoy hot springs, walks, and gourmet food.

From Shuzenji to Izu no Kuni, it goes to along the Kano River.

It is a very good road for cycling because there are no cars along the river.

Move west from Izu no Kuni and proceed along the sea. This road is a place where you can see Mt. Fuji beyond the sea.

After looking at Mt. Fuji, you will finally head to Mt. Dharma. There are several routes to climb but this time Sanagi Pass. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the rest house. The powerful E-bike makes it easy to climb.

Mt. Dharma rest house ~ Nishi Izu Skyline

The rest house with a good view allows you to enjoy meals and rest without hesitation. Through the window, you can enjoy a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji.

There are spicy udon and grilled rice balls.

Please stop by the Nishi Izu Skyline with a superb view after lunch.

Nishi Izu Skyline

The Nishi Izu Skyline is a mountain sightseeing road with an altitude of 800 to 900 m. Known as the "road of the sky" with a panoramic view of Suruga Bay and Mt. Fuji, it is a refreshing winding road popular for driving and touring.

It is easy to see Mt. Fuji from winter when the air is clear to early spring, and the sunset setting in Suruga Bay at dusk is a beautiful spot.

There are multiple accesses here. One of the things to look forward to is going from various roads.

Return to Shuzenji

I get off at the hot spring resort of Shuzenji. The traffic is small, but please don't ride too fast.

Chikurin no Komichi

This is called "Bamboo Grove Path"

It is a 200m walkway along the Katsura River in Shuzenji Onsen area, and is a popular photo spot characterized by its elegant bamboo forest and night lighting.
